Life Moving explores the power of film to communicate the meaningful and honest experiences of those facing death. I mentored terminally ill people and their families to make films in this interdisciplinary collaboration between Michele Aaron of Birmingham University, patients of John Taylor Hospice and a curatorial team. The project was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

The journeys that I was invited on with our participants were unique and profoundly moving.  The resultant films and exhibition provoked challenging and insightful conversations with palliative care professionals, families of the terminally ill, academics and artists when they were shared in Uk, France, Cyprus, Uganda, Rwanda & Australia. The project will lead to an ethical praxis guide to using video with vulnerable groups.
